TAEKWONDO - 'The Art of destroying with the hand and foot' 

• Statistics:   WTF Taekwondo is practised by around 70 million students in 189 countries with over 1.5 million registered Black Belts.  70% of martial artists in the USA practice, or have practiced Taekwondo.
• Taekwondo can trace its lineage back to the Silla kingdom in 18BC when it was know as Soo Bak Do.  Modern Taekwondo was created and named in the 1950's.
• There are two main style and organisations of Taekwondo.  WTF and ITF.  Some smaller organisation subscribe to neither style of syllabus and remain Independant.
• There are nearly 2000 Registered WTF Instructors in the UK alone.
• WTF Taekwondo is an Olympic sport.
