President of the AWTC Master Jong Hee Yoon, 8th Dan is an international referee and Master Instructor. Master Yoon started Taekwondo in March 1960 and at the age of fifteen he enterered his first championship competition, subsequently becoming the Korean national champion, holding on to this title for six years in succession. His army service was spent as an officer in the Marine Corps, and server a three year duty as an official instructor for the Korean Marine Corps. Early in 1974, Master Yoon left the Marine Corps and became a Master Instructor for the headquarters of Chung Do Kwan in Choong Book province, the leading club in Korea. He has trained five world champions for his country and his club. Master Yoon was the grading Committee Chairman and the Technical Chairman for the British Taekwondo Federation for five years, before forming his own organisation in the U.K.: The Association of World Taekwondo Clubs.

Instructor Master Mark Worsfold, 5th Dan, has been running the Mole Valley Taekwondo club since 1995, taking over the running of the club from his own master, President of the AWTC, Master Yoon, when Master Yoon temporarily returned to Korea. Due to increasing membership, the club has recently grown to include both Leatherhead Leisure Centre and Cobham Scout Hall, in addition to a number of schools in the Mole Valley, providing both timetabled instruction and after-school training. Master Worsfold originally trained in Kyokushinkai Karate in Leicester having also studied Akido, Ju Jitsu, Judo and Kung Fu. He has been practicing and teaching Tai Chi Chuan & Qi Quong for over 25 years. During his military service he worked in personal & close protection and trained in Self-Defence with the Combat Training Team. He was also a member of the International Combat Military Advisers Group during the 1980’s, and learnt to box whilst in the Army.

Instructor Guy Manners, 3rd Dan, has been training Taekwondo for 20 years; his starting point was at the original and first AWTC classes in Leatherhead under Master J.H. Joon. 2 years later he moved to Berlin, where he lived & trained for 15 years, attaining the 1st Dan, and over a dozen medals in local & regional championships. He also started training in Ashihara Karate & Jiu-Jitsu. He returned to the UK and the AWTC in 2004, taking first his 2nd Dan and then in 2007, 3rd Dan. In this time he also achieved qualifications as a Taekwondo Instructor, and as a Personal Trainer, enabling him to head towards his ultimate goal - to teach Martial Arts full-time; in his own club (AWTC Esher, in Sandown Sports Club), privately, & in schools in the Surrey & Middlesex areas. Guy still takes part in full-contact competitions, now in the Veteran class; he also trains Shorinji-kan Ju-Jitsu under The Jitsu Foundation (TJF, ) and Bokken & Jo training in the Koshinkan Aikido Society.

Instructor Master Mark Ford has trained in the art of Taekwondo since he was 11 years old. He trained under Malaysian instructor Too Meng Keng. When Too Meng Keng left the club because of family commitments abroad, he continued his training under James Cowan. He passed his black belt on 23rd April 1988. In June 1988 James Cowan decided to further his training by going abroad. This is when Mark Ford took over the running of the club which is still going strong after all these years. New Milton Taekwondo can boast that it has trained nearly 50 people to black belt and beyond.
